I went to @turnersseafood a few weeks ago while it was still all decked out for the holidays. We started with fried clams. They were crispy and delicious and the cute paper box was a fun bit of nostalgia. I had the Salmon pasta and my husband, Anthony, had baked stuffed shrimp. Despite being two of the better deals on the menu both were good portions and the salmon was especially filling. I really liked the peas in this dish. I'm not sure that I've ever had Salmon prepared this way but I really enjoyed it. Anthony loves all baked stuffed seafood and this was no exception. He's also a bit of a potato connoisseur and gave these a thumbs up.
I love that Turners kept the interior of the historic Lyceum Hall. The kitschy wall art in a seafood joint is always fun and I liked this map above our table. I also thought it was a pretty accurate Bostonian viewpoint.
Turners does classic seafood so well, I've never been disappointed. While there are lots of great seafood restaurants in Salem if you want the classic New England dishes put Turners on your list! Since it's down a side street this restaurant can also be a good bet on a busy night. It's often busy with regulars but usually we can grab a table without too much of a wait. You can also make a reservation via @resy.
